Llandow Track Day

NOTE NEW DATE!

To avoid clashes with other events (September is a busy month for our MX5’s) this year’s Llandow Track Day will take place on Friday 26 April which is rather usefully just two weeks before our May sprint.

This event is offered exclusively to BMC and BPMC Members and their closest friends at a price of £85.00 per car (with single driver) and £35.00 for any additional drivers. Yes I know different to before, but still a saving, and does ensure exclusivity.

This event is run by Llandow Circuit and so all entries are subject to the circuit’s Track Day rules, beginning with a safety briefing in the morning. Anyone who has held a driving licence for more than two years can take part, so you don’t need to be a Motorsport UK licence holder, and provision will always be made for novices.

Cars must be closed wheel, presented in a safe condition and able to pass the mandatory 105dbA noise test.

There are just ten cars allowed out on track at any one time which provides plenty of space for safe overtaking (straights only). Also, once we get going, based on good behaviour, an open pit lane approach is often adopted meaning virtually limitless track time. Some have been known to run out of fuel before the end of the day, a few even by lunchtime.

Llandow is a great little circuit being ideal for both novices and experts alike, and this event is now nicely positioned in our calendar for anyone wishing to get their eye in before the sprint in May.

The provisional schedule:

• 8.30am – Gates open
• 9.10am – Signing on
• 9.30am – Circuit Safety Briefing (will be announced)
• 10.00am – 5.00pm – Track activities
• 1.00pm – 2.00pm – Lunch break
• 3.15pm – 3.30pm – Afternoon break

As we don’t organise this event everyone can take part, so don’t be shy, find a suitable car and come along for a fun day out.
